Job Summary Navisite is expanding and is adding a Postgre SQL DBA to join our dynamic and highly successful team. We are currently interviewing for a Postgre SQL DBA for our global team. Navisite is a combination of seven successful and respected IT consulting and managed service providers that were brought together under the Navisite brand RDX, Navisite, clckwrk, ClearDB, Privo, Dickinson + Associates and Velocity Technology Solutions
Objective:
Navisitie is looking for a Consultant/Senior Consultant Postgre SQL DBA for our India team. This will be a challenging role in our expanding team.This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.To be considered you must have a strong experience deploying and managing large environments with strong technical expertise.

Responsibilities:

    • Advise the customer on best practices
    • Hands on experience in participating in upgrades & migrations for customers
    • Should be organized & maintain timely entry up to date within 24 hours
    • Advise customers on hardware and licensing questions
    • Ensure that customers are have appropriate maintenance in place including backups, index maintenance, and routine vacuuming
    • Hands on with Performance tuning
    • Should continue to learn new skills involved in being a PostgreSQL DBA as the technology evolves
    • Keep up to date with new releases of PostgreSQL and advise customers of the aspects that pertain to them

Requirements:

    • Candidates should have 2.5+Years relevant experience of working with Postgre Sql databases & servers
    • Candidate should have college degree in a related field or equivalent experience
    • Should Implement best practices on PostgreSQL Databases and Servers
    • Hands on with Interface and communicate with customers & other internal departments
    • Should participate in an on-call rotation
    • Hands on with Installation and configuration Postgre SQL
    • Should maintain the document with processes and procedures
    • Candidate should Implement/Support Log Shipping, Implement/Support Failover Solutions & Implement/Support Replication
    • Should be Flexible to work in rotational shifts
    • Candidate must ensure that compliance with data protection legislation under the DPA, EU GDPR, any other applicable data protection legislation

Skills:

    • Excellent Written and Verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Motivated to drive tasks to completion and take ownership of projects
    • Multi-tasking ability to work across projects, clients
