Experience:2-8 Years of Experience

Past Domain Preference:Logistics, IT Infrastructure support and operations on cloud hosted applications

Good customer handling capabilities and should have good communication skills.

Should be able to work under pressure.

Comfortable in interacting with external customers and internal stakeholders, should have good interpersonal skills.

Should be a team player and coordinate well between Internal and External teams

Should be able to work in 24X7 shift when needed.

Analytical and Technical Skills :

Proven working experience as a Database administrator

Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications

Exposure and expertise if few or all of - MongoDB, Mariadb, MySQL, PostgreSql

Experience in query tuning, cluster, archival, database design

Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL

Should be able to refine the logical design so that it can be translated into a specific data model and further refining the physical design to meet system storage requirements

Write database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)

Control access permissions and privileges

Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans

Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly

Carry out capacity planning

Work closely with IT project managers, database programmers and multimedia programmers

Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security

Commission and install new applications and customise existing applications in order to make them fit for purpose

Manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database.

Familiarity with virtualization and cloud platforms, especially Azure, AWS , Google cloud

Handles all aspects of systems administration, including maintenance of servers, back-up and restoration procedures and scripting;

Strong technical understanding of:

Multi-tier application and system integration

Proficient in Server Operating Systems, such as Ubuntu /RedHat, Windows 2003/2008 Server, etc.

Virtualization Technologies VMWare, VDI, Citrix, etc.

Database/OLAP technologies (SQL Server 2005/2008, MongoDb, MariaDB, PGSql, Hadoop)

Programming experience on web application technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Docker etc. is a plus.
