Job Description Role Summary/Purpose: The Deputy Manager NDT Aviation is responsible for establishing and continually improving customer satisfaction as per AS9100D, NADCAP & relevant customer & regulatory approval norms. The employee will be responsible for Aviation Quality Line production NDT operations which include addressing the key Quality deliverables in the COE including day to day process operations, Trend Analysis, Issue Resolutions, Customer Communications, Production Alignment & Fulfillment , Personnel skill development. Essential Responsibilities Work closely with quality & production teams and demonstrate accountability for the key business deliverables. Work closely with Quality system and manufacturing team to study, analyze, take corrective and preventive actions on quality indicators. Ensure that the Production line & products meet quality & compliance requirements. Coordinate with Quality & Line Leaders to discuss and resolve product quality issues. Train & Lead qualification of team personnel s. Participate in product quality planning and control process based on customer s specifications and requirements. Assist in new product development activities to avoid quality issues. Coordinate AS / NADCAP & other relevant audits. Train OJT personnel to NAS 410 norms Extend cross functional availability & support to internal quality & manufacturing teams Participate in quality KPI driven initiatives of PPAP s, AS 13100 implementations & other ongoing projects Qualifications/Requirements: Highest Levels of Personal Integrity and Safety Mindset. Bachelor s degree in engineering 7 + Years of Experience in aerospace / aviation NDT industry is a must. Working knowledge of Aerospace Prime requirements along with NADCAP. Working knowledge of AS9100 & Aerospace Regulatory requirements Minimum of NAS 410 in FPI / X-Ray Strong Knowledge of Aerospace GDNT & Drawing reading/interpretations. Desired Characteristics: Strong hands on NDT OJT experience in performing quality inspection checks process control checks & working per GE-Aviation specific customer P specs, GE visual inspection of finished & purchased product norms. Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously and Ability to work in a matrix organization.
