Job Summary

  • Lead sourcing engagements across relevant category to enable new business initiatives to launch and scale rapidly
  • Identifying the Right Vendors from a long term strategic point of View, Maintaining Relationships with them & developing their capabilities to ensure we meet our Category Strategic objectives
  • Identify Key Portfolio gaps and finding the right vendors to fill them across cities in India
  • Responsible for functional areas such as buying, pricing, inventory management and operations to drive the performance of vendor partners
  • Managing the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities including analysis of spends, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation
  • Establish long term partnerships with key vendor partners for the group of vendors handled
  • Support the launches of new programs, categories and features.
  • AOP planning for all regional and local brans oil selling region.
  • Sales driving scheme planning with Brand
  • Collaborative work with brand to achieve target volume (SOT)
  • Manage P&L for each finelines as per set target
  • Catalogining of all regional brand items on app
  • Strong Liasioning with Brand Merchandiser
  • Strong networking of alternate supply chain (loca W&D)
  • Strong communication and data combing skills.
  • Make sales & margin (% and RGM) forecast & demand trends
  • Maintenance and periodic update of Finelines & item master
  • Market & compensation Price combing of key line items by city
  • Control correct buying price & selling price circulation and upload
  • Manage optimum inventory DOH, aged stock in warehouse
  • Liason with supplier for any price mismatch in competition
  • Track suppliers supply fill rate & Ensure availability above 90%
  • Work closely with cross function, Logistic, Supply & Demand lead, marketing, Biz Finance.

Functional & Competencies:

  • Deep Category Knowledge - The individual needs to have in depth knowledge of category including grading and full cycle from Mandi to Store and how market players make money in each stage.
  • Result orientation: The role is required to work on deliver on daily numbers, short-term goals and long-term milestones set by business and efficacy. Meeting these milestones would be critical to create success.
  • Problem solving: The role needs the individual to be able to solve for a given business problem in sometimes an ambiguous state and with multiple data streams impacting decision making
  • Data driven / analytical: The role requires the individual to be comfortable in processing and analyzing volume of multiple data streams to enable meeting company targets.
  • Collaborative skills: The role requires the incumbent to work closely and coordinate with the Internal and external teams to create success. She/he should be able to seamlessly navigate these relationship dynamics in a high growth, young, agile business environment.
