Database Support Specialist (support Team - Night Shift) Job in Tecstub

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Support Specialist with expertise in MySQL to join our night shift support team. In this role, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity, availability, and performance of our database systems, aligning with US time zones.

What you ll be doing:

• Provide comprehensive support and monitoring of MySQL database systems during night shifts.
• Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including backup and recovery, data consistency checks, and index optimization.
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries and database performance to ensure efficient operations and minimal downtime.
• Identify and resolve database-related issues, collaborating closely with developers and support teams.
• Implement and maintain database security measures and compliance requirements, including access controls and data encryption.
• Maintain detailed records of database configurations, incidents, and resolutions for reference and reporting.
• Monitor database growth and provide insights for capacity planning to accommodate future data needs.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical issues and resolutions to stakeholders.

What you ll bring:

• 3-4 years of professional experience in database administration with a focus on MySQL.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Proficiency in database backup and recovery procedures.
• Ability to work independently during night shifts and communicate effectively with remote teams.
