Job Purpose

  • Implement and enforce EHSS systems throughout the company
  • Liaison with Quality Assurance Dept pertaining to interlinked documentation such as pest control management
  • Ensure Audit observations (internal/external) are closed and complied in line with the requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of developed safety system across Syngene such as LOTO, contractor safety, work permit, and other best practices
  • EHSS Documentation including SOPs, Change controls, deviations, CAPA, validations, qualifications etc.
  • ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation and documentation
  • Facilitate all accident and incident investigations are properly documented.
  • Actively participate in the activities carried out regarding the safety in the concerned area.
  • To organize safety committee meetings and track the recommendations completion.
  • Actively participate in the activities carried out regarding the safety in the concerned area.
  • Should have good knowledge on EHS statutory requirements.
  • Shift Emergency management in coordination with ERT.
  • Training to employees on different safety topics.
  • Environmental management
  • Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety
  • Attend training on environment, health, and safety (EHS) measures imparted company.

Educational Qualification:

B.sc

Technical/functional Skills:

  • Safe Systems of work (permit to work, risk assessment etc
  • Compliance (regulatory and internal)
  • Environmental
  • Incident/Accident management
  • Fire safety management

Experience:

3-6 years post qualification

Behavioral Skills:

  • Proven written and oral communication skills and the ability to articulate information and influence others
  • Meticulous at checking detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and to defined deadlines
  • Ability to organize workloads and to priorities effectively
