Job Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy

  • Ensure compliance with all group and country policies, code of conduct, statutory regulations and laws
  • Ensure that the Bank s and client s interests are covered in all instances
  • Ensure that regulator, internal and group compliance requirements (including Anti Money laundering & Zero Tolerance guidelines) are complied at all times
  • To suggest process, change if local conditions warrant making the processes stronger
  • To ensure that proper risk classification is done at the time of approving transactions
  • To complete review of all relevant reports
  • Ensure that audit rating of satisfactory and above is maintained for all internal and external audits with the section
  • Ensure completion of EOD processes within one hour of receipt of files from Exchanges
  • To ensure that the month-end activities and regulatory reporting are done within defined timelines
  • Ensure punctuality and discipline
  • Ensure proper update and maintenance of collaterals
  • Work in shifts whenever required
  • Cross-skilling - To act as back-up
  • Support Business and Product in new products and implementation of new processes

Business

  • Provides best in service to support to address client s queries and issues
  • Ensures all the information transactions are processed as per the agreed deadline.
  • Ensures all the instructions are processed well with in the market deadline.
  • Ensures all the procedures laid down in the Departmental Operating Instructions and the Key Control Standards are adequately followed.

Regulatory Reporting

  • Ensure all Regulatory reporting are done appropriately and with-in timelines.

Escalation

  • Keep the immediate Manager advised of the regular operations as well as report extraordinary occurrences so as to enable taking of appropriate action.

Processes

  • Processing of Derivatives Transaction of Equity Derivatives, Currency and Interest Rate Derivatives and Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLBM)
  • Processing of Trades related to PCM Operations
  • Ensure all clients reporting are done on time and all queries of client are replied within 24 Hours
  • Ensure that the sectional archival, new requirement testing (UAT and UVT) and documentation, exception tracking MIS, etc is done on at good frequency intervals

People & Talent

  • Cross Training in activities of other all processes of Derivatives.

Risk Management

  • Ensure operational incidents and client complaints are logged and escalated to all stakeholders
  • Identifies all potential risks within business and operations and assesses, monitors, controls and mitigates
  • Ensure impeccable audit reports

Business Continuity

  • Complete ownership for the BCP plan & procedures so as to ensure that the same is fool proof and the BCP live environment testing is effectively concluded on all occasions.


Knowledge

  • Very good interpersonal & communication skills
  • In-depth understanding of Equity Derivatives, Currency and Interest Rate Derivatives
  • Well-versed with Options and margining
  • Good knowledge of banking operations in terms of clearing, cash transfers, regulations, and cash settlement processes.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Stock Exchange Bye Laws (NSE & BSE), as well as Stock Exchange Guidelines for handling the arbitration/reporting etc
  • Detailed knowledge of the Capital Market operations
  • Very good knowledge of the regulations for the Foreign Institutional Investors issued by RBI and SEBI
  • Certification Required NISM VI, NISM VII and NISM XIII

Governance

  • To ensure that all transactions settled are within the ambit of the prescribed regulations and internal policies keeping in sight the interests of the Bank and the client.
  • To ensure compliance with group code of conduct.
  • To ensure all the mandatory e-Learning / Trainings are complied.

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • To Perform any job or task resulting from any emergencies as well as those which may be assigned by manager.
  • Extensive participation in the systems enhancement UAT of the unit.
  • Work towards making process simplified to reduce the time or built better control.
  • To execute any job or task resulting from any exigencies as well as those which may be assigned by Manager.
