Job Summary

Mission:

As the Senior General Manager, Business Services, your primary responsibility will be to lead and synchronize three key operational areas in our Indian operations: Finance, Accounting and Corporate Compliance; Plant Operations; and Internal Audit.


Your mission is to drive seamless execution across these three pillars, fostering optimal coordination with our Sales & Marketing, Business Development and Site Operations functions. This encompasses deploying effective strategies, refining procedures, and maximizing efficiencies to elevate the company's overall performance, in line with Group Policies. Your focus is on achieving operational excellence, sustaining exceptional service standards, and strategically driving the company's continued success and expansion while ensuring full compliance.


This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record of driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of business operations, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for driving growth and efficiency.


Key responsibilities:


Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor a team of Managers and staff members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence, professionalism, and customer service across the business services teams in line with the expectations of the Board of Directors and our Deputy Managing Director.
  • Establish performance expectations, conduct comprehensive performance evaluations, and offer coaching and development opportunities to Managers.
  • Develop robust talent pipelines and succession plans for pivotal roles within your sphere of responsibility.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance service delivery across departments.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing strategic guidance as needed.

Performance Management and Process Optimization

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of business services operations.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to optimize processes and enhance overall performance.

Policy Development and Compliance:

  • Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of robust policies, procedures, and standards for business services operations.
  • Ensure adherence to Group Policies and regulatory requirements, mitigating risks and maintaining compliance integrity.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare and deliver regular reports and updates to senior leadership, providing comprehensive insights into performance metrics, achievements, and areas for improvement.

Qualification Requirements:
  • Master s degree or higher in Business Administration, Management, Finance or a related field.
  • 15 years of progressive experience in business services management with a focus on finance, accounting, operations or audit.
  • Recognized experience in a senior leadership role driving operational excellence within a multinational corporation operating in the industrial sector.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills for effective collaboration across departments.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive informed decision-making.
  • Self-driven, energetic personality with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Fluent proficiency in English
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and communication.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint or other document management systems for maintaining project files and documentation.
  • ERP experience
