Job Description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the configuration, installation, upgrades, performance monitoring, security, and continual improvement of our client s network, server, and Applications/ assigned technology domain
  
• Work closely with Operations and provide constant updates with regards to maintenance, updates, patches etc.
  
• Responsible for supporting troubleshooting assigned/ client s technology including operating system, infrastructure applications, etc. and perform performance monitoring, system health checks etc.
  
• Able to analyze the requirement and come up with project plan and deliver to the client satisfaction from completeness and correctness point of view.
  
• Responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting Applications.
  
• Be able to work under pressure on critical issues and resolve to be able to maintain the quality of the deliverables per the defined standards and prepare RCA s
  
• Be able to identify cause of defects, prioritize and systematically remove with major focus on continuous improvement and enhancement of Infrastructure related services also to see the overall defect injection rate come down (DIR)
  
• Analyze technical requirements to be closely aligned with customer s business objectives
  
• Maintain positive relationships with all types of client, end users, vendors, and consultants
  
• Maintain current working knowledge in systems and incorporate new developments and be ready for the future systems
  
• Good Communication & Email Skills are mandatory
  
• Able to learn quickly and adapt to the new changing technologies and suggest new solutions
  
• Strong understanding of Project Management Methodologies is preferred and contribute towards progress of the ongoing projects towards success.
  
• Develop, manage, maintain, monitor, document and support the infrastructure and application monitoring environment in assigned technology domain with focus on Azure IaaS and PaaS. This includes reactive, proactive, and performance monitoring areas across a large and complex application and infrastructure platform that is predominantly Microsoft based (Windows/SQL)
  
• Practical understanding of SDLC Methodologies and all the relevant stages in a Project for collaboration with stakeholders and continuous improvement
  

Mandatory Skills

• Senior level experience on Azure monitoring tools such as Azure monitor, log analytics, smart alerts, application insights, dashboards/workbooks, Azure Metrics, etc.)
  
• Proficiency with CI/CD processes to Configure build and release pipelines.
  
• Hands-on experience on KQL to build custom monitoring.
  
• General knowledge of traditional network, firewalls, and load balancers.
  
• Practical level of understanding and familiar with other Azure Management Tools and frameworks in areas such as security, automation, and scripting
  
• Good understanding of Windows and Linux administration.
  

• Strong understanding and experience on engineering and deploying industry recognized top APM, logging and Infrastructure monitoring tools
  
• Experience with Microsoft server stack environments including Windows, IIS, and SQL
  
• Production experience with public cloud at scale (AWS, Google, or Azure Azure strongly preferred), both IaaS and PaaS
  
• Experience with a variety of open-source technologies and tools in monitoring such as Telegraf, InfluxDB, and Grafana
  
• Develop processes to monitor and alert for critical business transactions and applications.
  

• Hands on experience in PowerShell and JSON templates to define and deploy services to Azure.
  
• Maintain scripts, templates, and documentation as it pertains to infrastructure.
  
• Having experience in version control system experience will be an advantage.
  

• Knowledge of KPI s, metrics, alerting, logging and time series data
  
• Familiar with ITIL methodology
