Your day at work will be like (Roles & Responsibilities)
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the team and providing guidance to ensure accurate processing and accounting of Payroll across India / other geographies.
- Monitoring Payroll Team activities to comply with established compliances and procedures. Ensuring on-time payments to taxation and social security authorities.
- Providing overall support to internal stakeholders and departments on Payroll related issues and escalations
- Data analysis of various cost elements on a periodic basis, identification of reasons for deviations
- Preparing financial reports and schedules and providing comments on variances.
- Coordination with Payroll Service Providers for ensuring payroll processing accuracy and resolution of employee queries and escalations
- Review of processes and driving controls and efficiency improvement initiatives
- Working closely with internal controls and audit teams
This job might be for you if you have the following skills (Skills, Experience)
Requirement:
- CA (only 1st attempt) with 8-10 years of experience including team leadership and stakeholder management
- Proficient in payroll accounting and knowledge of appropriate provisions and other accounting norms
- Knowledge and experience of SAP environment is preferable
- Knowledge of relevant elements of applicable employee income taxes as well as social security payments like insurances and pensions. including specific nuances at a local / country level.
- Regulatory requirements relating to local taxation reporting and supporting documentations.
- Analytical approach for reviewing various cost elements on a periodic basis, identification of reasons for deviations and providing comments on variances
- Ability to review internal processes and identify critical risks and improvement opportunities.
- Ability to lead and implement process changes through automation and adding controls as well as ensuing change management.
