The Senior Business Analyst provides strategic business analysis services to business partners. The focus of this position is to work closely with a Canadian Mortgage client to gain in-depth understanding of business strategy, processes, services, roadmap and the context in which the business operates currently and how it intends to evolve.
This role will be key to understanding the requirements / capabilities needed to address current business challenges, future technology plansand translate the requirements for the IT Team to develop a SaaS based Mortgage Broker Service platform.
The senior business analyst s primary objective is helping businesses implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners.
- Review with business partner and document business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial and technological requirements.
- Preparing functional and non-functional requirement documents.
- Describe temporary capabilities, such as data conversion and training requirements, and operational changes needed to transition from current state to the future state.
- Describe any condition or creation needed to validate the successful completion of project deliverables.
- To closely support the IT Project Manager by helping to facilitate and gather release requirements for development within the agreed timelines.
- Work closely with the IT Project Team members for UAT and System testing.
- Should be aligned to support business requirements with high quality test results leading to delivery of good quality work flows and applications.
- Design and develop workflows processes and follow the standards agreed maintained by Business Process Innovation team.
- Analyse, design and undertake maintenance of existing workflows and processes upon request from stakeholders, end users and follow the standards agreed maintained by Business Process Innovation team.
- Identify and understand business requirements from participants in the mortgage product design process.
- Build and manage system test of new products & maintain the existing products database.
- Liaise with the UAT test team to ensure that the product set meets business requirements.
- Assist with product deployment through the development, testing and live environments.
- Manage deployment of the solutions into production.
- Undertake business analysis as required to be fulfilled by the supplier.
- Develop skillsets to operate the new platform.
- Deliver all documentation and status reporting required by suppliers and stakeholders.
- Ensure that test, assurance, security and quality controls are built into plans.
- Provide project management within the delivery process, liaising with internal departments and suppliers as required.
- Support and enhance the solutions delivered once in production.
- Provide overall support to the application as submitted to the IT team via Support desk tickets.
Responsibilities :
- 6 plus years of business analyst experience in working within the mortgage / banking / finance industry is essential.
- Experience at working independently and communicating at all levels both technical and non- technical is essential.
- Previous experience in designing and developing frameworks is essential.
- Previous experience working with Zoho / iDesk / Filogix systems is desirable.
Experience :
- Knowledge in SDLC process is essential.
- Basic knowledge in SQL is essential.
- An ideal candidate will have knowledge on JIRA, MS Visio and MS Projects and any similar tools.
- Should have excellent communication skills
- Should have worked on a client support model.
Knowledge :
- Should be minimum graduate (B.E), a technical degree diploma in computer IT will be preferred
