Responsibilities

  • To lead the new product development projects of special purpose machines according to the requirements of the applicable functional safety standard
  • To discuss, coordinate with customers and define technical requirement speciation and acceptance criteria
  • Development of project execution plan and identify competencies required to execute the project
  • To provide technical solutions for SPM projects, mentor and provide training to the technical team
  • Determine feasibility of modifying existing, or designing new equipment while considering the cost, time limitations, and other technical and economic factors
  • To prepare and perform necessary calculations to support product designs
  • To participate in the technical review meeting with customer
  • Participation as needed in Quality Management System, including audit

Required Skills

  • A Bachelors degree with 10-12 years of experience or a Masters degree with 8-10 years of experience in SPM new product development
  • Hands on experience in SPM design
  • In depth experience in any two CAD software s namely Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, UG NX, CATIA
  • Exposure to Industry 4.0, plant digitalization
  • Good experience in project management
  • Strong communication skills oral, written and presentation
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs like Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and external customers
  • Experience with quality assurance, writing and managing requirements including traceability and requirements management tools
