Job Summary
Role Purpose: The main purpose of the role is to provide technical expertise in the planning, design, and management of specific systems within the technology tower (platform, database, middleware, backup). This includes handling both strategic planning and operational tasks. Key Responsibilities: 1. Architecture Planning, Migration & Installation: Lead the design of platforms, middleware, databases, and backup systems. Perform capacity planning to meet current and future system requirements. Leverage new features of technologies to ensure smooth operation. Develop and implement disaster recovery and backup plans. 2. Day-to-Day Operations Management: Troubleshoot operational issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions. Plan and manage system upgrades, migrations, and configuration activities. Monitor system performance, fine-tune performance, and resolve challenges. Create and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and operational manuals. Provide weekly status reports to stakeholders regarding project progress and performance. 3. Team Management: Resourcing: Forecast and hire talent for the team. Talent Management: Ensure proper onboarding, training, and career progression. Performance Management: Set goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback. Employee Engagement: Drive initiatives to build team satisfaction and engagement. 4. Stakeholder Interaction: Internal Stakeholders: Coordinate with teams like Technology Solutions, BU Teams, and Infrastructure teams for planning and updates. External Stakeholders: Interact with clients and vendors for requirements gathering, project updates, and system deployment. Competencies Required: Functional Competencies: Technical Knowledge: Expert knowledge in platform, application, and database management. Domain Knowledge: Understanding IT industry trends and practices (Competent to Expert level). Behavioral Competencies: Managing Complexity Client Centricity Execution Excellence Passion for Results Team and Stakeholder Management Performance Metrics (Deliverables): 1. Operations of the Tower: SLA adherence Knowledge management Customer satisfaction (CSAT) Risk identification and mitigation 2. New Projects: Timely delivery Preventing unauthorized changes Zero formal escalations Required Experience and Skills: Technical Expertise: A deep understanding of platforms, applications, databases, and middleware. Leadership Skills: Experience in managing a team, setting goals, and managing performance. Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and coordination skills for working with both internal and external stakeholders.
