Job Summary

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant server side applications
  • Understand requirements, design solutions and independently develop application code and logic.
  • Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
  • Ensure security and data protection needs are fulfilled during development
  • Documenting Node.js processes, including database schemas, as well as preparing reports.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to processes and technologies.
  • Perform code reviews and make sure best coding practices are being followed
  • Mentor junior team members and train them to perform their tasks independently.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience working on Node.js and related frameworks and libraries such as Express, Strongloop, Async, Lodash, Socket, etc
  • Experience with RESTful APIs
  • Experience of working with NoSql databases
  • Experience with microservices architecture and understanding of concepts and design patterns involved.
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
  • Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
  • Experience in performance optimization
  • Experience with code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Good to have knowledge of CICD pipelines, any cloud provider like AWS, GCP or Azure
