Job Summary
Job Title: Sr. Engineer - Hydraulics Engineering Location: Pune Experience: 6-12 Years Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Engineer - Hydraulics Engineering to join our innovative team in Pune. The ideal candidate will bring 6-12 years of experience in hydraulic systems design, product engineering, and new product development (NPD). You will be responsible for contributing to the design and development of cutting-edge hydraulic solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams globally, and ensuring that the products meet performance, cost, and quality objectives. Key Responsibilities: Hydraulic System Design: Lead the design and development of hydraulic systems for new products (NPD), ensuring integration with manufacturing processes and system requirements. Cost Optimization: Engage in cost-out processes, using Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) to improve product cost-effectiveness while maintaining functionality and performance. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with global, cross-functional, and cross-cultural teams to ensure successful project execution and alignment with technical specifications. Performance & Calculations: Conduct new product performance assessments and basic hydraulic design calculations to ensure product reliability and performance standards are met. Variant Management: Manage product variants and ensure that product design and performance adhere to project-specific communication and standardization targets. Technical Reviews & Approvals: Act as a technical reviewer and mentor, reviewing and approving hydraulic design proposals based on requirements and statements of work. Present findings to stakeholders and customers. Value Engineering Initiatives: Lead value engineering projects to incorporate new features and improve the cost-effectiveness of hydraulic systems. Design System Development: Conceptualize and develop detailed hydraulic system designs that meet cost, weight, and functional targets. Project Planning & Execution: Develop, track, and maintain detailed timing plans for components and systems, ensuring smooth execution of hydraulic system projects. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's or Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or a related field. 6-12 years of experience in hydraulic systems design, product engineering, and NPD, particularly in manufacturing and system integration. Hands-on experience in VAVE and cost reduction processes. Strong understanding of hydraulic system performance, design calculations, and integration with mechanical and electrical components. Ability to work effectively with global teams and across various functional departments. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on improving product designs and systems. Proven ability to manage product variants and ensure adherence to standardization and communication targets.
