CLIENT is the largest mutual fund company in the United States.SKILL SET/PROFICIENCY- SAS,MATLAB,SQL,UNIX,BRIO,Datamining,Econometrics,Regression Analysis,Cluster Analysis,UNICA,Scoring Modules,DB Analytics,Campaign Analysis and Drill Down Analysis.The Database Modelling and Analytics group Clientss marketing analysis needs, including the creation of diagnostic tools, campaign measurement, and statistical modeling. The individuals will have significant data analysis responsibilities on a wide-range of projects. The position requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a data-rich environment to answer critical business questions posed by the organization. With support from the Program Lead and/or Sr. Manager (where applicable), responsible for the management of database analysis projects in support of marketing initiatives. Works closely with program lead, upper management and business partners to capture campaign goal information and determine appropriate measurement approach. Evaulates results within the context of the business problem to be solved as well as the impact to the business and makes recommendations accordingly. Communicates analytical results to non-technical audiences in a clear and concise format.Major Responsibilities-Project Management: With support from the Program Lead or Senior Manager manages DM analysis projects, including working with business partners to define the business problem and develop a measurement plan that keeps methodology in line with problem complexity and business priority. Analysis/Presentation/Communication: With support from Program Lead or Senior Manager, provides in-depth campaign analysis for strategic DM campaigns including cross-campaign analysis as well as summary level analysis on other promo campaigns. Provides input to strategic analysis as well as makes recommendations for future program enhancements based on learnings. Provides analytic input to all marketing effectiveness presentations as well as for all analysis requests of the Program Leads, Client Managers and Director Database Marketing. Takes complex data issues, methodologies and analysis results and communicates them to business partners in a manner that is relevant, meaningful, actionable, and understandable. Thought Leadership: Assists Program Lead and/or Senior Manager in providing thought leadership within the Database Marketing Analysis group including identifying and incorporating best practices to optimize direct marketing efforts including expertise on data issues that impact analysis. Databases/Tools/Data: Assists Program Leads and/or Senior Manager in managing changes to the RADB/APM/IMM and other relevant databases that will be used to facilitate enhancements to standard measurements. Provides relevant QC to measurement databases. Provides input on requirements for databases and key analytic tools utilized by the analysis group. Understands Clients internal systems, tools and data to the extent required to perform the job. Pulls information via Brio/SAS from Clientss databases in order to answer ad hoc questions regarding campaign performance.Process Improvement: Supports efforts to improve DM analytics capabilities (technical projects, process improvements, usage strategy, industry best practices). Assists in the development of templates and documents processes relevant to database marketing measurement and analysis.Personal Development: Stays abreast of industry trends and new techniques in DM measurement and reporting including training and personal time.With support from Program Leads or Senior Managers designs analytic project work plans. Identifies analysis objectives and business problem to be solved. Provides recommendations for improving marketing effectivness and efficiency based on analysis results.
Minimum Requirements
Essential Computer Skillset-WINDOWS NT,UNIX,Brio,SQL,SAS,MatlabEducation and Experience College degree and 3-6 years analytic experience; preferably some direct marketing experience. MBA,ICWA,CA or MS and some statistics training preferred.Skills/Knowledge Strong quantitative skills required.Excellent business judgement and ability to recognize business implications of data.Experience with test design, reporting and analysis design, and measurement strategy development. Familiarity with statistical database marketing techniquesMust have effective oral and written skillsComputer skills (Windows NT, UNIX), programming SAS, Excel, and knowledge of charting and graphics packages desirable. SQL and Brio skills a plusFinancial Services background a plusSome project and time management skills with an ability to set and maitian priorities in a mulit-task environment.
