  • Overall responsible for Operation excellence (OE) strategies of Analytical department

Job Description:

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert for the site coaching others in the philosophy, methods, tools and techniques of process improvement to increase the capability of the business to respond to problems. Plan, lead, drive and execute continuous improvement projects that increase throughput, provide favorable P&L impact, and improve organizational scalability using Lean/DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) approach.
  • Project Management: Coordinates with finance and Head of department in finalizing project budgets & scope, applying lean six sigma methodologies as appropriate to harmonize efficient processes/standards;
  • Helps generate Operational Excellence (OE) strategy to identify and develop systems and support for ongoing site efforts: process improvement, daily management system, and culture. Facilitate Kaizen events and workshops.
  • Develop improvement project business cases to secure the necessary support and resources for success. Support departmental improvement efforts in a variety of project team member roles to accelerate delivery of improvements.
  • Works with teams to establish performance measurements and process control plans to monitor project results and drive sustainability. Communicate project progress and promote project achievements to maintain awareness of improvement activity on the site, in the network, and with corporate leadership.
  • Actively engage in problem solving at the site by identifying critical issues and providing solutions linked to root causes. Drive creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets. Assist/lead in complex root cause analysis/technical investigation (RCI) when needed
  • Modify and facilitate training sessions of relevant material.
  • Understanding and practitioner of Lean and Six Sigma principles and Project Management Methodology.
  • Significant knowledge in process improvement tools and methodologies.
  • Facilitation skills; Proven facilitator with the ability to manage and guide teams.
  • Experience in execution of 1-2 Lean Six Sigma (LSS) projects with detailed project plans.
  • Computer skills (expertise with Minitab statistical software, MS Project, Excel, Visio, Access, SharePoint).
  • Diplomacy, negotiation skills, independent work skills, strong work ethic and self-starter.
  • Identifies organizations strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas and leads efforts to improve upon fore mentioned issues.
  • Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety
  • Attend training on environment, health, and safety (EHS) measures imparted company.

Educational Qualification: Bachelors/Masters Degree (preferably in Life Sciences and/or Engineering)

Technical/functional Skills:

  • Preferably with experience in an FDA regulated Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry
  • Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belt Certification is must, Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Black Belt Certification preferred. The candidates who are pursuing Black belt certification can also apply.
