The key responsibility of a business development executive includes implementing sales activities to all business opportunities, directing and motivating the sales employees to present a relevant plan to these business prospects, and manage the sales progress activities. He is also involved in acquiring new business projects and prepares bidding for the same. Along with this, he also has to manage sales executives, provide support to the upper management by providing assistance in analyzing and evaluating the new business opportunities for the organization, and focus on varied business aspects like licensing, research and development compliance, and other joint ventures run by the organization.
Required skills- Gathering relevant information about perspective business opportunities, developing product knowledge, techniques, and skills requirement as per their company's needs, and prioritizing the company sales activities accordingly.
- Understanding the products and services offered by the company, learning the intricacies involved in designing and development of services / products, and using these information accordingly to provide to best possible products / services to the customers as per their needs and requirements.
- Understanding the varied sections of merchandise available with the organization, matching the customer's requirements as per product availability, and arranging the product match from third party service providers for giving the best possible services.
- Creating innovative methods for visualizing and formulating newer projects and applications to the prospective business providers, coordinating with dealers and third party vendors for expanding their consumer market.
- Formulating sales and services in accordance with the target consumer base, understanding the consumer segments, and developing each product accordingly.
- Meeting business targets on daily, weekly, and monthly basis, thriving to run in accordance with the yearly goals set by the organization, and promote sales activities accordingly.
- Working in collaboration with senior managers, business development manager, and other executives for sales and developmental processes, assist progressively in building company profile for maintaining its brand reputation, and carrying out the marketing campaigns accordingly.
- Setting up evaluation systems for monitoring the consumer satisfaction, setting up parameters for offering consumer support as per the analysis results, and creating strategies for retaining the consumer base accordingly.
- Marketing company products and services strategically for increasing more business opportunities, maintaining ethical standards for optimizing the quality of services offered, and conducting strategic market research for optimizing the business productivity accordingly.
