Role Purpose

The Presales Solution Specialist possesses deep understanding of Marketing as a domain and available software solutions for both B2B and B2C marketing. She/He would participate in sales cycles as a member of the virtual account team in support of the sales and account strategy.

A Presales specialist interacts with the CMO and team of a prospective client through executive meetings, drives thought leadership in the marketing domain and delivers an impactful presentation. In addition to deal support, the specialist, in conjunction with sales and Industry Business teams would plan and execute business development activities.

Responsibilities:

Deal Support:

  • Compose and deliver high impact business presentation to CMOs across industry. The presentations must articulate a strong business value proposition, differentiating SAP
  • Prepare and deliver value-based software demonstrations/presentations in support of sales cycles. Preparation includes personalization of materials to ensure delivery of a simple, appealing, and compelling customer presentation, using techniques such as storytelling.
  • In advance of a demonstration or key presentation, conduct discovery sessions with representatives from the prospective customer to build relationships with the customer and understand their unique needs.
  • Must have a good understanding of marketing strategies and techniques with business value proposition and ROI driven approach
  • Demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of customer experience withing appropriate industries to maintain credibility with prospective customers. Provide proof points with relevant customer stories.
  • Support RFx completion in support of customer proposals.
  • Ability to effectively present to customers remotely using virtual technologies
  • Provide post-sale support to key customers primarily to the project/implementation team to ensure a smooth transition and subsequent go-live
  • Effectively leverage vast SAP ecosystem support teams such as Global / Regional Solution Specialists, CoE, Industry Presales, Product Management etc.

Impactful Demonstrations and Demand Generation

  • Support one-to-many sales and marketing events both on-site and remotely
  • Must possess industry awareness and knowledge of marketing techniques across few industries namely automotive, retail and consumer goods.
  • Lead & support innovation driven workshops to promote value adoption and for customers and prospects.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and industry team to identify whitespace opportunities at accounts.

Sales Readiness

  • Develop close relationships with sales teams to promote effective sales methodologies
  • Participate in demo system design and planning and assist in configuration if needed.
  • Serve as a champion for marketing domain and shares to colleagues as needed.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor equivalent or MBA
  • 7+ years of presales experience of which a minimum of 3 years must have been spent on marketing technologies
  • Demonstrates successful engagements leading to large marketing software solutions
  • Expert knowledge/expertise on end to end marketing processes
  • Experience in sales and sales processes

The location is flexible across Mumbai or Gurgoan
