As a Senior Program Officer, you will work as part of the program reaching out to 200,000 adolescent girls is being implemented as per plan.
The program is looking to work with grades VIII to XII over a period of 3 years. The key thematic areas are: life skills, gender equity, digital literacy, coding (basic and advanced levels) and career development. Technology is a key aspect of the program.
Role and Responsibilities:
Program Implementation and Quality
- Operational oversight of the partner implementation in state
- Monitoring visits to partner schools in districts
- Ensure operational plans are in place to achieve high quality delivery against program objectives, quality standards and targets
- Lead the planning and review meetings in the districts with partner coordinators and facilitators
- Support the Regional Coordinator to regularly review processes and progress.
- Lead on identifying and evaluate potential risks related to impact of the program and take necessary steps to include risk mitigation in program reviews and design
- Lead the planning and execution of state level events such as hackathon, summer camp or program events like facilitator trainings through the partner coordinators
- Coordinate and Facilitate visits of donors volunteers and government agencies with support from implementing partners
- Be part of the planning process for the team to ensure an effective plan and budget is in place and it is adhered to
Working with Partners and Government Functionaries
- Build and maintain strong relationships with delivery partners and the government functionaries
- Monitoring district orientations, centralized partner teacher trainings etc (need basis)
- Represent Quest in joint monitoring visits at district level
- Ensure all partners receive the appropriate support and updates to implement the program effectively.
- Ensure additional support needs of the partners are identified, assessed and any reasonable adjustments are made to the partner s journey.
- Facilitate cross learning among partners, replicating good practices.
Reporting, Documentation and Monitoring and Evaluation
- Ensure all the relevant data from partner is available on time
- Ensure submission of all the relevant partner monitoring reports on time
- Continuous review of partner implementation, monitoring within the agreed parameters
- Ensure the program process is documented and enough case studies, video documentation etc. are in place to show the impact or progress of the program.
- Monitor the dashboard, ensure that it is error-free and up to date.
- Ensure the monitoring data including case studies, photographs of the implementation schools reaches relevant team members.
- Coordinate capture of compelling partner implementation stories, artefacts from implementation
- Facilitate review and focus group discussions with the facilitators within the partner ecosystem to align the program design with the learner context
Required Skills and Experience
- A Graduate / Postgraduate degree in any discipline (preferably social work, development, education, gender studies, rural development)
- 4-5 years of work experience preferably in the education sector
- Proven ability to network and establish collaborative relationships with a variety of actors, including govt. education department
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Proficiency in Kannada
- A strong personal commitment to the values of Quest Alliance
Candidates with technology background, have direct work on ed-tech projects or have previous experience of working on tech related work, will be preferred.
