Job Summary


Senior Officer - Design (girls Outerwear)

To work with Manager/Sr. Manager - design and product design/development for the vertical to ensure that all products are best-in-class (innovative, high quality, comfortable and affordable to the target consumer) and achieve right product to market fit. Execution of all tasks for all product within the given calendar, ensuring best quality and brand alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning

  • As directed ensure strategy addresses both new product proposals and upgrade proposals to address business-critical product gaps and elevate the product to the next level

Market Research and Feedback

  • Retail Research/Feedback - should dedicate a significant amount of time per month to visit nationwide Modern Retail: (Standalone Stores, Department Stores) and Traditional Retail: (Important Multi Brand Outlets (MBO s {Mom & Pop Stores}, various Key Hosiery Retailers) to obtain regular market feedback on existing products and recently launched products in conjunction with PMT
  • Competition Product Tracking/Movement - A continuous effort must be made to monitor all the competitor s products in the market place

Design

  • Adapt the selected trends and translate into design
  • As directed, execution of the ideal range-wise color palette with primary, highlights, contrasts and mix-match stories along with mood boards
  • Work in close co-ordination with Design Manager and tech team to review aesthetic and styling of new samples
  • Attending to the printers to follow up on all over print and graphic strikeoffs
  • As directed, execution of the ideal range-wise print direction with themes and graphic directions along with mood boards
  • Work closely with materials development team to execute the raw-material related designs (prints, lab dips, labels, trims, fabrics, etc.)
  • Creation and alignment of heat seal label artworks
  • Assist design manager with all raw-material related approvals
  • Research and creation of all-over prints, placement prints, etc. & check designs as per Design Manager direction
  • Assisting in preparation for all milestone meeting
  • Support to ensure timely presentation of the season line/collection for the upcoming season for the respective categories
  • Creation and maintenance of accurate storyboards at each stage of the PD Process
  • Collaborate cross functionally to convert the approved design concept into actionable products within the specified timelines
  • Design to ensure MCQs and MOQs are managed
  • As directed, create designs to utilize all existing available raw material stock
  • Create design documents to be approved by design manager to handover to vendors to ensure RFT developments
  • Create design documents to be approved be design manager to handover to technical team to ensure RFT developments
  • Create and update the tech-pack for all design related PLM modules
  • Create and update how to measure sketches
  • Create and update line sheets
  • Maintain pantone books
  • Create and update the inspiration/innovation library


Qualifications

Education: Design Graduate from a reputed Fashion Institute

Experience: 1 8 Years
