Job Summary

Job Purpose:
The Director, Investigator Payment Office (IPO) is accountable for the performance and delivery of their aligned IPO function. They will support in managing the timely and accurate setup of funds and payments across Investigator sites. Lead the development, documentation, and improvement of all reporting processes and procedures within Parexel to support IPO requirements. Works with operational team members and cross functional teams to educate and implement changes in business processes to improve downstream quality of data.

  • Accountable their delivery to expected targets and quality standards.

  • Accountable for the leadership and management of the aligned IPO team to ensure their performance meets or exceeds client s (internal and external) requirements.

  • Oversees and owns escalation issues and informs Senior Management as required.

  • Manage risks proactively.

  • Manage client relationships for assigned portfolios and ensure report requirements are aligned with IPO standards.

  • Maintaining a positive, results oriented work environment, building partnerships and modeling Teamwork.

  • Communicating to the team in an open, balanced and objective manner.

Ownership and Initiative Management

  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert.

  • Manage Vendor relationships

  • Business owner for functional systems

  • Business owner for functional processes; and support training requirements.

  • Partner with Key stakeholders to implement changes in business processes to improve our internal processes and procedures.

  • Proactively plan and make changes to the process to meet future requirements.

  • Lead efforts for improvement of processes and procedures to support IPO delivery, including cross-functional engagement.

Performance Management and Staff Development

  • Develop and mentor staff for improving efficiency, productivity, quality and effectiveness.

  • Responsible to support direct reports to achieve their PDC objectives and development goals.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum 15+ years experience within a Clinical Research Organization; Finance/ Accounting function; or other comparable experience.

  • Prior experiencing managing staff (5+ years) and ensuring high performance delivery and behaviors

  • Knowledge and understanding of clinical trials and clinical research

  • Experienced in multiple systems used for making payments or financial analysis.

  • Experience in analyzing processes, building accurate and realistic solutions, create and maintain reports and identify business measures to address productivity and performance management issues.

  • Expertise in Word, Excel, and Power Point.

  • Experience with reporting tools to develop reporting to support the business

Education:

  • Advanced to excellent English level for non-native English speakers

  • Minimum Bachelor s degree or equivalent degree

  • Master s degree, post-graduation or equivalent desirable
