Job Summary Manager, Deal Strategy APJ As a Deal Strategy Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping and driving the strategic direction of deals within Okta APJ. You will work closely with sales, finance, legal, and product teams to structure, negotiate, and close complex deals that align with Okta s business objectives. Your analytical skills, strategic thinking, and ability to manage multiple stakeholders will be key in ensuring your success in this role. What you ll be doing: Deal Structuring: Develop and implement strategies for complex deals, including pricing models, contract structures, and negotiation tactics, that align with Okta s objectives and drive long term customer success. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, finance, legal, and product teams to ensure alignment and execution of deal strategies. Facilitate communication and decision-making among stakeholders. Performance Tracking: Evaluate Key Performance Indicators, provide insights and recommendations for future deal strategies. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine deal processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate deal success. Enablement: SME support for deal enablement and training content for the sales team to help best position commercial constructs and contract terms with Customers. Customer Negotiations: Support negotiations with key clients, ensuring that the terms of the deal are favorable to Okta, while driving revenue. Govern commercial terms: Own approvals for non-standard terms and deal constructs. Required Skills Bachelor s degree in Computer science, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Business or an equivalent.. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a deal strategy role. May consider candidates with deal experience and a combination of the following areas: strategy consulting, strategic finance or corporate strategy, ideally at a SaaS or enterprise software company to equal 5 years. Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach Strong analytical and financial modeling skills Action-oriented to solve problems and navigate short timeframes. Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional execution. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
