Job Description
Position Summary
The individual will be responsible for achieving territory sales targets, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (Doctors, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Distributors, peers, and superiors), developing new customer accounts, monitoring competitor activities, and maintaining comprehensive records of customer interactions and usage patterns.
The role involves handling customer complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting the Area Manager in strengthening relationships with key stakeholders. The candidate will also track IOL/OVD/Phaco market share within the assigned territory, proactively addressing competitive challenges to maintain market leadership. Adherence to environmental policies and departmental objectives is required.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Market Expansion
- Achieve annual and monthly sales targets by promoting the right product mix.
- Regularly monitor sales performance to ensure 100% target achievement on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Drive market expansion for IOL/RIOL/OVD, upgrading existing customers to premium IOLs.
- Attend operating theaters (OTs) to assess customer needs and ensure satisfaction.
Equipment Sales and Demos
- Conduct equipment demonstrations in collaboration with Regional Managers and Product Specialists.
- Manage bundled deals and ensure adherence to Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreements.
- Ensure receivables control on equipment deals, with minimal outstanding dues.
Product Knowledge and Development
- Develop a deep understanding of products and share territory development strategies.
- Organize scientific programs, including Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions and roundtable meetings.
Reporting and Data Management
- Maintain field reporting discipline with timely submission of reports.
- Record and analyze market data, including competitor activity and secondary/tertiary sales.
- Keep updated records of JJSV product installations in the territory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Science, Commerce, Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation), or Optometry.
- MBA preferred.
- 5 6 years of sales experience, with at least 3 4 years in the medical device, healthcare, or ophthalmology sector.
