Job Summary

To take complete responsibilities of the TNA, costing and documentation for the product development process (end to end) for the product portfolios, working closely with the Product Development Head

Primary Responsibilities:

Milestone Meetings

  • Monitor and update all trackers in a timely manner and ensure RFT
  • To work in close co-ordination with PD head and HOD to ensure timely development
  • Lead and drive weekly update meetings with all divisions of PD team to pro-actively recognize and arrest problems that effect timelines
  • Ensure MOMs are accurately captured and followed through

Seasonal Calendar and Projects

  • SEASONAL CALENDAR:
- Ensure the entire team follows the STRATEGY TO SCM PROCESS
- Drive the timelines using the SCM TRACKER and call out early warnings, red flags and provide resolutions
- Drive regular communication and collaboration within PD department to ensure T&A alignment throughout every step of the Process Calendar

  • PROJECTS & FAST TRACK PRODUCTS:

- Create and maintain a comprehensive and exhaustive CUSTOM TIME & ACTION PLAN ( TNA ) for each Project & Fast Track Product
- Drive the timelines using the PROJECT/IOM TRACKER and call out early warnings, red flags and provide resolution

  • Ensure sample indents are provided to technical team on time and RFT
  • All product costings to be up to date and accurate from 1st proto through to MRP approval
  • Administration of the sample library in head office

SCM

  • Check/ approve the PLM tech pack and merchandising sheets and style files
  • Ensure on-time approvals and handovers for packaging AW for new styles and changes in existing style
  • Ensure SCM meetings in co-ordination with all departments
  • Post SCM, ensure to share all the meeting notes to the participants with time and action.
  • Ensure completion of SCM Checklist (Strategy, Storyboard, RR, SCM)

Communication

  • Co-ordinate communication and T&A within the PD department (Design/ RM Sourcing/ Packaging/ Technical) to ensure alignment. Ensure close alignment with Design Head to ensure all deadlines are maintained
  • Align with Design and Fabric Sourcing Teams to ensure all raw materials are correct for purpose, quality and aesthetic. Ensure all approvals are completed as per T&A
  • Align with the Technical Team to ensure the product fit is correct as per Brand requirements and ensure construction is feasible for production
  • Coordinate communication and T&A to PPC and operations to ensure timely and smooth handover
  • Visits to outsourcing vendors, mills and suppliers to support the design manager for RM sourcing and product outsourcing

Market Research & Feedback

  • Competition product tracking/ movement; to support design manager with monitoring all competitor products in the market and ensure follow-up for any subsequent required research, development or comparison testing.

Team Development & Self-Development

  • Be a role model for the team and help them decipher business process calendar and set portfolio & individual targets.
  • Engage with the team, guide and motivate the team members to help them with individual targets.
  • To maintain decorum and guide the team on working with cross-departments and resolve conflicts
  • Develop team capabilities and ensure continuous learning and development for all members in the team.

Qualifications

Education: BE / B.Tech Textile

Experience: 12 20 years of relevant experience
