Job Summary

Role Context To contribute to assurance reviews across Global Businesses and Functions in the region, and on occasion at global level, ensuring that assurance activities meet regulatory expectations and provide senior management with up-to-date information regarding standards of compliance with applicable rules within the organisation. Management of Risk The role holder is responsible for ensuring that regional assurance work meets CA standards and is in accordance with the Group Standards Manual and the Compliance Functional Instruction Manual (FIM). Observation of Internal Controls Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Pro-actively assists management in identifying and containing compliance risk; monitoring, reporting and certification; fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators. Requirements What you will need to succeed in the role: Extensive Risk Compliance and/or Financial Crime knowledge, with some experience in assurance or testing activities Relevant external financial services qualification Clear understanding of regulatory and/or financial crime compliance risk within the global financial services industry Capable of building positive and resilient partnerships with key stakeholders Lateral thinker with an ability to interpret and solve complex issues Excellent communication skills with very strong inter-personal and influencing skills Track record of working autonomously Decision-making capability Strong English language skills (written and spoken)
