Job Summary

Position: Manager, Imaging Management Lead

At Bristol Myers Squibb, we are developing a world-class Global Biospecimen and Imaging Management organization within Global Development Operations (GDO). Our goal is to drive excellence and innovation in end-to-end biospecimen and imaging management, supporting the objectives of both Research and Development. As part of this initiative, we are seeking a Manager, Imaging Management Lead to provide project management, vendor oversight, and operational support for the medical imaging component of clinical trials across all therapeutic areas.

This role requires an individual capable of delivering innovative solutions to manage timelines for digital specimen data delivery, thereby enabling rapid decision-making and ensuring BMS's competitive advantage. As the CBI (Consent, Biospecimen, and Imaging) organization grows, this role may expand to cover other digital specimen types.

Key Responsibilities

  • Imaging Strategy & Vendor Management: Serve as the tactical operations resource for clinical teams, supporting the imaging strategy and vendor selection.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Relationships: Engage with imaging vendor project management teams and external imaging Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to enhance collaboration and ensure BMS receives top-tier service globally.
  • Protocol & Documentation: Participate in the development and review of protocol/imaging documents, ensuring alignment with study requirements.
  • Operational Guidance: Provide operational guidance to clinical teams and sites, including training and education.
  • Data Delivery & Risk Management: Ensure timely delivery of image data as per defined specifications and manage any risks associated with the imaging process.
  • Due Diligence & Qualification: Support due diligence activities for qualifying imaging vendors, ensuring they meet the requirements of both novel and strategic BMS relationships.
  • Standardization & Process Development: Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop BMS imaging standards and create program-level processes for consistency across studies.
  • Communication & Relationship Building: Foster trust and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining open lines of communication and status updates.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively seek feedback to improve operational processes, vendor relationships, and overall team performance.
  • Negotiation & Conflict Resolution: Use negotiation and diplomatic skills to ensure continuous progress with imaging vendors, moving issues toward resolution.
  • Teamwork & Knowledge Sharing: Promote teamwork and knowledge-sharing across functions, capturing best practices for continuous improvement.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel (5-10%) to build relationships and review onsite capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: B.S. in a scientific, technical, or business-related discipline. PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of pharmaceutical and/or CRO project management experience.
    • Centralized medical imaging project management experience is highly desirable.
    • Experience with Digital Specimen Management (other than medical imaging) is a plus.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple protocols and projects simultaneously.
    • Strong vendor management experience, particularly with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Experience analyzing and interpreting complex data and making informed decisions.

Preferred Experience & Competencies

  • Imaging Knowledge: Familiarity with radiology response criteria (e.g., RECIST) used in oncology clinical trials is preferred but not required.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to operate effectively in a complex matrix organization and balance competing needs.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of ICH GCP and applicable local regulations governing clinical research.
  • Imaging Modalities: Experience with various imaging modalities used in clinical trials for drug development is highly preferred.
  • Relationship Management: Proven networking skills and a successful track record in stakeholder management.


Qualification :
Knowledge of radiology response criteria used in oncology clinical trials preferred but not required (RECIST, etc.).
