Job Family Definition: Directs, manages, leads, and coordinates the integration of existing and/or new Information Technology solutions for accurate data collection, processing, modeling and analysis according to requirements of one or more functions, businesses, geographies, and/or IT transformational activities. The ideal candidate has a knack for seeing solutions in sprawling data sets and the business mindset to convert insights into strategic opportunities for our company, ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures for data analytics & reporting team. They will use advanced data modeling, predictive modeling, ETL procedures and analytical techniques to interpret key findings from company data and leverage these insights into initiatives that will support business outcomes. Management Level Definition: Applies expert subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving most complex business/technical issues within established policies. Manages activities of exempt individual contributors (typically Expert/Master) and/or MG1s. Has accountability for a large multi-department area(s) or location(s) with significant impact on business unit results and organizational strategy. Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policies and long-term goals of the organization. Plans, manages, and monitors high-end operational/tactical activities of Staff. Staff members' primary focus is on either high-end tactical or broad strategic issues or a combination of both. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members. Position typically reports to Director or above. Additional Guidance/Criteria: Manages and controls activities within a sub-region or Region; Typically manages 5 or more direct reports. Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers. What you ll do: Responsibilities: Lead cross-functional projects to build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions. Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics. Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modeling, visualization and communication deliverables. Oversee the data/report requests process: tracking requests submitted, prioritization, approval, etc. Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget and business within your department and design/implement solutions to meet these needs. Manages activities of ICs (typically Expert/Master) and/or MG1s with accountability for a large multi- department area(s) or location(s) with significant impact on business unit results, organizational strategy, and transformational activities. Often carries program management responsibilities with multiple projects. Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables of reporting employees and system integrators with comprehensive policies and processes. Applies mastery level subject matter knowledge and alternative resourcing plans to manage staff activities in solving most complex business/technical issues. May interpret policy or recommend policy exception. Drives architectural simplification and ensures capabilities and applications are done "once for the company". Ensures that systems and applications are highly available and meet or exceed performance expectations, and require little to no support. Understands, articulates, and optimizes application and process capabilities for use by multiple/all business and IT constituents. Ensures team meets or enables achievement of relevant IT metrics and commitments per IT business goals and objectives. Provides technical as well as people leadership. Exerts influence horizontally and vertically in the organization; demonstrates business acumen and applies it for effective business engagement with internal customers and effective management of programs and initiatives. Drives change management beyond the immediate team and for the business unit; takes personal ownership of the IT strategy and drives support of it. What you need to bring: Education and Experience Required: Typically a technical bachelor's degree or equivalent; advanced degree in data management may be preferred. Twelve years minimum related experience with minimum five years of management or supervisory experience. Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and Azure data sources. Strong SQL & Database skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries. Experience working with and creating databases and dashboards using all relevant data to inform decisions. Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Qlik Sense Experience with data storage tools: SnowFlake, Hadoop Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities. Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously. Excellent communication, collaboration and delegation skills.
