Job Summary

The Expedia Peoples Technology Team is looking for a Software Development Engineer II with a focus on Workday SaaS ERP to support the Expedia Group Brands. As a Senrior Engineer, your main responsibility will be defining and implementing Workday Business Processes, Configurations, Integrations and 3rd party tools with a deep focus on Compensation and year end Compensation processes. You will be part an integral part of a team dedicated to constantly improving the configuration and optimization of Workday to meet Expedias global requirement.

This position combines expert-level proficiency in multiple Workday modules with the ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with Technical Product Managers, Total rewards & compensation teams, turning broad requirements into deliverable work items. The individual will also work with multi-functional teams to address system, interface, data and vendor issues. Finally, the role will be primarily responsible for bidirectional integration of Workday with and comp related external tools.

Who you are-You'll fit if you have:

  • Proven experience, 7+ yin HCM implementation in one or more ERP systems.
  • Have deep domain knowledge of Workday Compensation Module and Year End Compensation Processes within Workday.
  • Identify, design, test, implement, execute and maintain system configuration for Workday Compensation.
  • Must have Advanced Compensation implementation experience into Workday.
  • Be a specialist in the design, implementation and measurement of compensation and benefits programs and policies that support Expedia Groups compensation strategy
  • Lead implementation & roll out of multiple compensation programs and processes which include the annual compensation planning cycle, equity grants, off cycles
  • Experience with writing Compensation related reports and dashboards is a must.
  • Workday/Workday Pro HCM or Advanced Compensation certification preferred but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in information science, computer science, business or equivalent work experience.
  • Understanding of Agile project methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, required.

  • Participate in the design, analysis, development and deployment efforts for multiple application projects to tackle sophisticated global recruiting & talent problems and improvements.
  • Design, document, configure, and implement changes in Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation modules.
  • Collaborating with Developers, Product managers, Technical Product managers and Production Support Engineers to implement technical requirements.
  • Crafting runbooks for troubleshooting, recovery, and routine maintenance of in house developed systems.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party companies that support native and custom Workday Integrations.
