Job Summary The US HR Specialist in this role is responsible for overseeing immigration-related processes, managing the onboarding of W2 and C2C employees, and administering company employee benefits. This position requires a deep understanding of US immigration laws, proficiency in onboarding procedures, and the ability to coordinate and manage employee benefit programs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Immigration Related to H1B:
Collaborate with legal advisors to ensure compliance with US immigration laws and regulations, particularly concerning H1B visas.
Manage the H1B visa sponsorship process, including collecting necessary documentation, filing petitions, and overseeing the application process.
Stay updated on changes to immigration policies and procedures, adapting strategies and processes accordingly.
Liaise with employees requiring visa sponsorship, providing guidance and support throughout the immigration process.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to immigration cases and visa applications.
Onboarding (W2 and C2C Employees):
Develop and execute comprehensive onboarding processes for W2 and C2C employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
Coordinate with hiring managers and various departments to facilitate the onboarding schedule, including orientation, training, and necessary paperwork completion.
Conduct orientation sessions to introduce company policies, culture, and procedures to new hires.
Address new hire queries and provide guidance on company policies and procedures during the onboarding phase.
Employee Benefits Administration:
Manage and administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
Communicate benefit offerings to employees, assisting in enrollment and providing guidance on benefit options.
Collaborate with benefit vendors, resolving issues, and ensuring accurate administration of benefits.
Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and facilitate necessary paperwork for changes or updates.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in HR functions, particularly in immigration processes related to H1B visas, onboarding, and employee benefits administration.
In-depth knowledge of US immigration laws and regulations, specifically regarding H1B visa sponsorship.
Experience in managing end-to-end onboarding processes for both W2 and C2C employees.
Familiarity with employee benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and related compliance.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with employees and various stakeholders.
Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other HR-related software.
