Summary
The Technical Project Manager is a consulting delivery role that partners with senior management, clients, and IT development team stakeholders to define, create, execute, and deliver moderately complex projects and business plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops, communicates, and monitors all phases of the project life cycle including defining project deliverables, issue resolution, project implementation schedules, budgets and resource plans.
- Maintains key project documentation; creates and delivers presentations to mid-senior level management on project goals and plans, including periodic project status reports.
- Assists the User Acceptance Test team with mapping all project objectives and business requirements to the test plan and develops reporting routines for testing progress updates to the project stakeholders.
- Works with the project stakeholders to develop and refine business requirements in order to maintain project timelines and budgets.
- Manages client projects in person and remotely, and across disparate sites, while maintaining consistent communication of project priorities.
- Identifies and escalates project risks and effectively communicates to project team members
- Gathers information from the client through existing documentation, interviews, meetings, system demonstrations, and side-by-side shadowing of personnel.
- Organizes the information and documents the overall systems and their high-level functionality.
- Identifies and documents key integration points with other systems, internal and external.
- Discovers and documents business process flows, high-level system integrations, and data flows.
- Documents technical details of the systems (application and platform details, enterprise server and network diagrams, and system architecture overview).
- Accurately tracks time by hours and project billing codes in Company project tracking software to ensure >95% personal billable hours goal.
- Participates in other Company initiatives and duties as required.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related technical discipline; and relevant years related professional experience; or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience.
Technical and/or Domain Knowledge
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of and experience with the following:
- Expertise in the hospital operations or comparable industry in the following areas:
- Familiar with User Acceptance Testing processes and procedures
- Experienced in SCRUM
- Ability to work and communicate directly with senior business and technology executives to clearly define and analyze the user business requirements to ensure that the user expectations and business requirements clearly meet the project objectives.
- Ability to identify, quantify and communicate project risks and risk mitigation strategies in a timely manner.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage various project activities ensuring accurate task completion on time and under budget.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher) and JIRA.
