Candidate Profile Qualifications, Experience and Eligibility:
Post graduate degree in either Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences or Business Administration 10 to 15 years of overall sector experience with at least 3-5 years in an institutional fundraising role with a proven track record. The ideal candidate should be thorough with marketing and communication strategies. Experience in environmental or engineering programs is beneficial.
Competencies/ Skills Required:
Excellent communication, influencing, negotiating, strategic planning, proposal writing skills, and presentation skills.Good attention to detail and able to deliver high-quality written outputs.
Gravitas to represent CDD at the highest level within Trusts and governments and to speak publicly and confidently.
Self-motivated with an ability to handle targets and work under pressure with an experience of working with (financial and/or impact) target driven business models.
Proven track record in securing, delivering, managing grants from institutional donors fundraising or philanthropists and high net worth individuals. Possess a strong network of leads and experienced in client/donor relationship management.
Flexibility to travel and attend meetings/ conferences.

Roles & Responsibilities:
The person shall be responsible for driving the institutional fundraising strategy to secure and manage significant income from a diverse range of donors, such as CSR, government, international organisations, multi-donor funds, and large trusts and foundations.
Fundraising:
Plan and coordinate funding approaches, working closely with the programmes team, plus senior management and external consultants as required to develop high quality funding applications. This includes developing budgets, log frames and change management in accordance with funder guidelines.
Work closely with the programmes team and other related functions to ensure understanding of any implications, risks and opportunities of institutional funding applications/awards.
Remain abreast of institutional donor trends and share knowledge as appropriate across the organisation.
Lead the process of building a comprehensive database of institutional donors, trusts & foundations, major donors, partners etc.
Anchor the process of concept note and proposal development in consultation with all stake holders.
Grant Management:
Work with the Head of Programs to develop and ensure monitoring and evaluation systems and procedures for awarded grants.
Lead on institutional donor grant agreement/contract negotiations and compliance.
Ensure all relevant team members are fully briefed on the terms and conditions of donor grant agreements/contracts, including key deadlines.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to build strong relationships for the successful delivery of campaigns and strategies.
Manage a system for maintaining all contacts, information and deadlines for each grant award and new fundraising opportunity.
Work with team leads and ensure the right skills and resources are in place to deliver against the fundraising plan.
Marketing, Communication and Reporting:
Create and lead various programs associated with marketing and communication for CDD
Work with teams to develop brochures, marketing strategy and material, annual reports and various dashboards/ reports for institutional fundraising.
Lead on the development of annual income and expenditure budgets/forecasting for institutional fundraising.
Produce internal reports (monthly) and conduct reviews (quarterly) on the performance and progress of institutional fundraising against agreed financial targets, operational activities and annual objectives.
Ensure reporting requirements for all grants and donors are met and reports be completed.
Team Management
Proven ability to inspire and lead teams
Ability to manage multiple activities and work to agreed deadlines
Line manage the Institutional Fundraising team and support their professional development
Help program and project leads to ensure the right skills and resources are in place to deliver against the fundraising plan
Collaborate with other fundraising efforts within CDD for coordinated fundraising across all channels
