Global Marketing Customer Experience Strategist, Data Center

In this role you will be developing and implementing global marketing strategies to ensure a seamless customer experience across all stages and touchpoints in the customer journey and position ABB as a leader and trusted partner in the data center marketplace. You will be responsible for developing the customer journey map and defining and developing the marketing toolkit that will create the desired customer experience and will effectively deliver the data center messages to the target audiences. The strategist will cooperate with the broader marketing ecosystem (eCommerce, digital marketing, marketing activation and regional marketing teams) to implement customer touchpoints.
Your responsibilities
- Participating with management to design and implement marketing strategies to maintain and attain new markets for growth across geographies and sub-segments creating a sustainable competitive advantage for the company. Extending the communication of those strategies to support the local sales units and to translate it into the local marketing strategy.
- Identifying customer needs and expectations and translate into a comprehensive content map across all stages of the customer journey to create awareness, interest, and preference for ABB. Partnering with the Data Center Content Strategist to drive content development for the customer journey such as promotional material and tools needed to meet sales growth targets including collateral, videos, blogs and white papers for all of ABBs products, services and solutions relevant to the data center industry with a special focus on our digital solutions and benefits.
- Supporting communications team by providing customer and segment insights, thought leadership and ABB messaging / positioning for the data center segment, driving global marketing communication strategies to actively reinforce ABBs visibility across the data center industry by strengthening external market segment communication in coordination with the Communications Team.
- Positioning ABB as a technology leader in the sector by developing and managing the customer journey across all demand generation activities: conversion-oriented marketing campaigns, newsletters, social media, virtual events and webinars to drive leads and orders, utilizing global marketing tools; Pardot, On24, SalesForce.com, coordinating our media and social media presence across the regions for the data center segment, measuring the performance of the designed touchpoints. Working across the regions and countries to ensure we are creating the best experience for the customer and capturing contact and lead information for all data center demand generation activities across the globe.
- Establishing KPIs in conjunction with management team and report on demand generation / campaign performance with the ability to distill and curate insights and findings.
- Using market insights to drive global data center external website improvements ensuring optimal SEO and work with our division / segment leads to drive meaningful website content for our customers across the entire portfolio, using web analytics to monitor trends, opportunities, and touchpoints effectiveness. Benchmarking ABBs website / content against the data center industry providers and driving improvements and stickiness and provide a good customer experience.
- Tracking market developments, projects, emerging opportunities, changes in regulation / market dynamics and current/future technology needs to ensure they are factored into our marketing strategies. Sharing market intelligence / project information with wider data center team to improve ABBs probability on open opportunities / projects.
- Ensuring the development of a proper network throughout the divisions, local sales units, account managers, communications, marketing and engineering centers to assure an organized collaboration to cover the sector.
Your background
- Bachelors' degree and 5+ years' experience in marketing, sales or engineering
- Several years' experience in digital media strategy design with a focus on a user-centered approach
- Several years experience in marketing automation and effective demand generation campaigns
- Fluent in English, high level of speaking, writing and listening
- Proficient in Microsoft excel, word and power point
- Organized with project management skills and coordination across functions
- A strategic thinker with a record of understanding and supporting change in an international organization, able to guide and support in cross-cultural business changes
- Demonstrated ability in creating processes to monitor and reach marketing goals
- Strong determination and relentless pursuit and execution of meeting sales goals and objectives
- Tolerance for ambiguous objectives and work plans
