This is a Business Health, Safety and Environment Specialist reporting to HSE Manager in India Operations Centre, Process Automation (INOPC PA) based in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will contribute to improve Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance in the respective organization, to ensure an exemplary Quality, health, and safety culture as well as a strong focus on the environment. Support the QHSE Manager proactively to implement QHSE processes through the application of in-depth QHSE knowledge, skill, and expertise to offer solutions, advice and facilitate in their implementation.
Your responsibilities
- Support managers and employees to ensure area of responsibility is compliant with HSE standards, regulations and guidelines.
- Liaise with Managers to prepare HSE plans for Projects/services. Prepare safety instructions and notices and assists with relevant training.
- Conduct HSE audits and workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and risks and highlights corrective measures required.
- Support implementation of HSE objectives, incident investigations and root cause analyses within the respective organization.
- Carryout review of submitted documentation as part of CCQP process, identify gaps and report to P&L/SCM.
- Collect, analyze and reports on HSE performance, identifies problems and makes suggestions to avoid repeating the problem in the future.
- Collaborate with managers and employees to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment for HSE initiatives and performance.
Your background
- Engineering/Diploma basic qualification and familiarity with automation industry.
- At least 3-5 years experience in supporting Quality/ Health and safety and Environment management in oil & gas industry in areas of automation/automation projects.
- Nebosh IGC certification and ISO lead Auditor (In any of the following management systems 9001, 14001, 45001) is preferred.
- Lean 6 Sigma Awareness (yellow/Green Belt) desirable.
- Team player with good communication skills.
