Job Details Job Title: Territory Sales Manager Mass Retail Designation: Territory Sales Manager Function: D2C Sub-Function: Mass Retail Location: [To be filled] Level/Grade: Senior Executive Position Description This role places you at the forefront of the business for an entire territory, responsible for driving sales and delivering comprehensive customer service. You will work to increase market share and revenue while executing the go-to-market (GTM) strategy. Engaging with channel partners and fostering business relationships will be essential to enhancing the D2C mass retail business. Organizational Relationship Reporting To: Regional Mass Retail Head (~ Zonal / Area Manager) Direct Reports: 6 to 7 Indirect Reports: 6 to 7 Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Sales Management: Drive revenue growth by focusing on both new and existing channel partners, expanding the company's footprint within the territory. Optimize the sales and distribution network to enhance market penetration. Strengthen the distribution ecosystem through increased below-the-line (BTL) activities, effective coverage, and transactional outlets. Ensure brand visibility through organized go-to-market merchandising activities to achieve tertiary recharge sales and gross prepaid targets. Customer Experience: Implement processes that enhance overall customer satisfaction and issue resolution. Ensure compliance with policies by channel partners and meet customer SLAs. Lead the timely closure of service requests and manage complaints during escalations. Stakeholder Management: Manage and expand the channel/distributor network through incentives and effective grievance redressal. Train partners on product features, sales techniques, and market positioning to strengthen the mass retail business. Implement relationship management programs and negotiate agreements with partners to establish mutually beneficial terms. Maintain industry best practices to enhance service efficiency and competitiveness; collect feedback and generate reports for improved management. People Management: Lead the territory team and enhance their knowledge base to meet organizational needs. Coordinate with mass retail Zonal/Area managers for sales and service alignment. Manage the team responsible for installation, servicing, and repair of structures and major components. Facilitate training sessions for team development. Build strong connections across all organizational levels. Collaboration: Work with central functions such as marketing, finance, and HR to ensure alignment with broader company policies. Knowledge, Certifications, and Experience Educational Qualifications: Full-time graduate degree; MBA/PGDM (optional) Total Experience: 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably within the Telecom or FMCG sectors.
