Procurement & Logistics Specialist Job in Asea Brown Boveri Ltd.

This is a Procurement & Logistics Specialist role, reporting to the Procurement & Logistics Team Lead and will be based in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for data management, analyzing performance, identifying problems and developing recommendations which support Procurement & Logistics (PL) department activities.

Your responsibilities

• Gathering and interpreting relevant data (cost, quality, demand patterns, etc.) and providing analytical support e.g. site inventory and material stock out analysis and trends, material availability reports.
• Developing and communicating periodic trend and performance reports on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
• Investigating problems, finding root causes and recommending improvement to existing and planned PL processes.
• Leading/supporting process improvement teams. Providing SAP/BAAN MRP support to buyers, e.g. training documents, coaching.
• Coordinating daily material issues and communication alignment between production stock outs versus SAP stock outs.
• Analyzing inventory trends, reports findings. Supports ABCD part analysis. Reviewing material plans (planned orders) against actual.

Your background

• Graduate in Computer Science or any Engineering.
• Domain Knowledge of SCM i.e. Buying, PO, Invoice, supplier Interaction etc.
• Working knowledge on any software application.
• Good oral & written business communication skills.
• Persuasive & Result oriented mindset.
• Demonstrated customer focus with the ability to build effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
• Teamwork: ability to participate and contribute as a member of a team.
• Knowledge about ABBs product portfolio is an advantage.
