One of our latest ventures in innovation is the creation of a World Wide Fulfillment Design and Engineering Program Management Office (PMO) group. The primary objective of this group is to support the growth of worldwide operations including Customer Service, Fulfillment and Transportation by building a global and scalable platform that includes standard tools and processes.
We are looking for a Senior Program Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to provide leadership, coordination and management of PMO processes and functions for the Worldwide Fulfillment Design & Engineering team. The objective of this role is to develop and implement standardized tools and processes that set standards for how projects are run, ensure project management standards are followed, gather project data and production of information for management review, provide a source of guidance and advice for project managers, and manage and facilitate the portfolio management process.
Responsibilities include:
Work with engineers, business leaders and managers driving critical business initiatives
Leverage technology and innovation to bring continuous improvement to the program management processes
Implement and govern status reporting for the portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones and performance all projects
Establish and continually improve the consistency, predictability and efficiency of the organizations project delivery capability by providing leadership in best practices
Oversee the development, implementation, and training of program/project management tools and processes
Develop and implement standard project management and construction management processes and methodology to be utilized by the engineers and project managers in all Worldwide regions including project planning, status reporting, budget tracking, schedule tracking, open issue resolution, system acceptance, and project closeout
Gather and analyze data across business functions to establish Worldwide standards for project management status reporting and tracking
Partner with our Worldwide Fulfillment Center Design, Real Estate, and Operations Engineering teams to develop and maintain Amazon standards and technical specifications for the buildings, equipment and systems utilized in our new FC build outs
Provide oversight and guidance to cross-functional project teams, planning and executing complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders to enable the launch of new projects and processes
Support corporate and regional project teams on as as-needed basis to improve our standard processes, provide project intervention and coaching, etc.
Manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem solving skills

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent or 5+ years of Amazon experience
Strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills required
Experience leading technical and non-technical process improvement initiatives
Must be able to think creatively and possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
Proven track record of consistently meeting goals and objectives
Proven ability to build relationships and manage cross-functional teams
Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to produce results
Experience using PMI methodology to develop scope documents, project management plans, communication plans, project schedules, change management and risk and issue logs
Strong Executive- and team-level communication skills (written and verbal)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and VisioAbility to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
