Responsibilities: Implement major features with limited guidance from leads and managers Demonstrate a passion for web development, have an eye for well-designed user interfaces, and be extremely detail-oriented Be a technical expert, mentor junior developers and share your expertise with other software engineers to strengthen our team In addition to new projects, be willing to add new features and refactor parts of established projects Provide accurate timing estimates on work Collaborate with User Experience Designers, User Researchers and Product Managers to ensure our solutions meet users' needs with maximum usability Collaborate with Software Managers and QA analysts to develop realistic implementation plans with a focus on quality, sustainability and delivering value to our clients Contribute to documentation (e.g.: instructional and technical specifications) Contribute to the organization s development standards (style guides, design patterns, tech, etc) Ensure your work and the work of others you are mentoring are consistent with organization standards or in the case of implementing new tech, are consistent with industry standards Qualifications: ZS welcomes candidates with bachelor s or master s degrees in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics or a related discipline with a demonstrated record of academic success. Candidates should have 6.5+ years of software product development experience, including ownership of significant client UI components and have coached other developers Demonstrated passion for building great user interfaces that solve real user problems in an engaging way Experience developing high-performing, secure, production quality code Experience building dynamic, thick-client web applications Experience developing cross-browser and mobile compatible solutions Experience with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS 3 Nice to have : experience with server side technologies like ASP.NET, C#, Java and NodeJS Experience working with version control systems such as SVN, GIT and Bitbucket Experience with a client side frameworks such as Angular, Ember, Knockout or Backbone is a plus Experience with REST services and mobile development is a plus Experience working in agile development teams is a plus Additionally, we seek individuals with the following personal skills: Strong analytic, problem solving and programming ability Initiative and drive to contribute in a fast paced collaborative team environment with business, technical and user experience team members Excellent organizational and task management skills Strong communication skills Ability to address changing business needs Ability to work in global cross-office teams, including travelling to remote offices as required
