Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Automation Strategy: Identify key system and acceptance tests to be included in the release regression test set.
  • Framework Improvement: Support and enhance the architecture of the automation framework, ensuring it meets evolving needs.
  • E2E Test Development: Lead and control the development of end-to-end (E2E) test specifications and contribute to test case design.
  • Execution & Reporting: Execute tests and regularly report the status of our platform across various environments, both weekly and monthly.
  • Collaboration & Support: Assist developers and QA team members in creating new automated scripts, providing feedback to enhance test coverage.
  • Maintain Coding Standards: Ensure that coding standards and design patterns are adhered to for efficient and effective test automation.
  • Integration with Tools: Be responsible for implementing and integrating test tools with complementary systems.
  • Test Tool Implementation: Investigate or perform integrations with complementary tools to ensure robust testing processes.
  • Version Control & CI/CD: Manage test automation source code using GIT and create automated builds through continuous integration tools such as Bamboo.
  • Define Test Strategy: Be involved in defining the overall test strategy for product testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
  • Regression Testing: Maintain and enhance the regression test suite, supporting multiple projects and continuous testing improvements.
  • DevOps Integration: Integrate test automation solutions with DevOps tools to streamline the testing lifecycle.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • Experience: 3-5 years of QA/testing experience, with a solid background in automation testing.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience.
  • Agile Methodology: Experience with agile testing (Scrum/Kanban) under BDD and an agile mindset focused on continuous improvement.
  • Automation Tools: Knowledge of tools like Selenium WebDriver, Postman, and RestAPI Automation.
  • Programming/Scripting Languages: Familiarity with C#, JavaScript, and Java for scripting and automation.
  • Testing Techniques: Experience in BDD (Cucumber, Specflow) and familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Microservices & Architecture: Experience with microservices and multitier applications architecture.
  • Development: Knowledge of .NET Core framework and database manipulation (MS SQL Server).
  • CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD concepts, version control (Git), and release management (Octopus).
  • Design Patterns: Understanding of common design patterns like Singleton, Factory, MVC, Adapter, and Builder.
  • Log Exploration: Experience with tools like Kibana and Grafana for log exploration.
