Job Summary Role Purpose: The role's main purpose is to design and develop the organization s cyber security strategy, architecture, and technologies to safeguard systems and sensitive information from cyber threats, including breaches, attacks, and other security risks. Key Responsibilities: 1. Cyber Security Strategy and Architecture Design: Security Design and Risk Analysis: Evaluate security requirements by analyzing business strategies and conducting vulnerability assessments. Threat Mitigation: Identify current and emerging security threats and design security elements to mitigate these risks. Design Gaps and Enhancements: Identify security gaps in existing and proposed architectures and suggest improvements. Security Architecture Coverage: Provide best-fit solutions covering various security layers, zoning, API security, endpoint security, data security, and compliance with regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA). Frameworks: Demonstrate experience with frameworks like NIST, SANS, and CIS for security assessment. Support for Deployment and Integration: Assist in the deployment, configuration, and integration of security technologies, ensuring alignment with business needs. 2. RFPs and Solution Design: RFP Solutions: Provide solutions for RFPs from clients and ensure comprehensive design assurance. Solution Portfolio Management: Oversee the development of a portfolio of security solutions to align with business outcomes. Custom Solutions: Lead the development and implementation of custom security solutions using modern technologies. Recommendations and Roadmaps: Provide recommendations and propose investment roadmaps for target security solutions. Technology Integration: Evaluate and recommend solutions to integrate into the existing technology ecosystem. 3. Stakeholder Coordination & Audit Assistance: Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders regarding security issues and provide solutions. Risk Register and Audit Support: Maintain a security risk register and assist with internal/external security audits. Security Awareness: Support the creation and delivery of cybersecurity awareness training to employees and clients. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to security best practices and implementation of necessary security measures in line with regulatory standards. Competencies Required: Functional Competencies/Skills: 1. Leveraging Technology: Expertise in security technologies (e.g., Firewalls, IPS, DDoS, SIEM, WAF, Endpoint security) and regulatory standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA). 2. Systems Thinking: Understanding of interdependencies within the organization s systems and solving complex problems. 3. Technology Mastery: Expertise in ecosystem technology related to cyber security. 4. Certifications: Relevant certifications, including: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Cloud Architect Certification (AWS, Azure) TOGAF or SABSA certifications Behavioral Competencies: Effective Communication: Ability to clearly convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. Managing Complexity: Ability to handle complex security challenges and find solutions. Client Centricity: Focus on customer needs, especially regarding security solutions. Innovation: Proactively seeking new, improved ways to solve security problems. Problem Solving: Applying a structured approach to address complex security issues. Collaborative Working: Ability to work well with various internal and external teams. Execution Excellence: Delivering high-quality solutions with attention to detail. Performance Metrics (Deliverables): 1. Customer Centricity: Timely Security Solutions: Resolving security breaches promptly and improving customer satisfaction (CSAT). Customer Education: Providing security best practices and solutions to customers. 2. Sales Support: Proposal Quality: Supporting the sales team by delivering high-quality proposals with a Quality Index >7.
