JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title:Area Sales Manager,Department:Sales,Reports To:GM,Location:Amritsar-Upcountry,Core ResponsibilitiesEnsure implementation of sales, sales forecast, promotional merchandising and advertising programs, new product launching, correct pricing and communication of schemes/ discounts in his areas through market visits and sales team.Responsible for expansion of market both horizontally and vertically and achieving daily sale targets brand/ pack wise in his routes/ territories. Target distribution among team.Should be aware of VPO/ PPO/ PCC and how to control them.Improve execution by supervising the working of MDC, Sr. MDC, salesman, PSR, Sales officers, JSO, ST, on his route.Build strong relationship with Whole-sellers, Distributors, Sub- distributer, and retailers. Enhance their efficiency by pushing sales.Should have good relationship with his team for smooth functioning.Should ensure implementation of credit policy and monitor the customer outstanding account.Should attend & resolve customer complaints.Responsible for planning of route in most cost effective manner for its optimum coverage.Maintain DSR and CSS report.Evaluate the performance and professional skills of his sales team and the route salesman to recommend on their performance, hiring and de- hiring. Also help/ supports his team to fulfill their KRA.Should monitor brand/ pack movement in the markets/ routes for corrective action as per target. Should ensure total product management (TPM) in the marketResponsible for market share in his territory, in any case it should not fall. Should be aware of competitors activity and discuss with higher management to plan activities to counter the same at right time, to break monopoly and increase our outlet base to have volume growthEnsure that all bills are cut and route books are filled on daily basis.Inventory Management-check stock level in vehicles before dispatch and at distributors/whole-seller/ retailers end for regular rotation in market.Monitoring of SGAs in the market/ outlets. Responsible for automation of dispatch and billing through IT (Jaguar lite) in his area and subsequently in entire franchisee area.
