The role will support Compute and Cloud Management (C&M) global leadership in executing sustainable business strategies, driving team productivity improvement and managing the Global Support operations, Business reporting, Program management & execution. This role will report into the Director, Strategy & Operations - Compute and Cloud Management.
The person will closely engage and partner with cross functional teams, business leaders across GS organizations ensuring the continued success of the business units. The core responsibilities of the individual will be to provide actionable business insights to support the decision making of the businesses, drive programs and rhythm of business. For this, it is necessary to have an in-depth understanding of the Enterprise technical support business in software industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analytics, operations and program management. Ability to collaborate effectively across key stakeholders and influence/develop mutually beneficial peer relationships within VMware is also vital.
Key Responsibilities:
* Program/Project manage Key initiatives which are of Strategic importance to Compute and Cloud Management Domain
* Operational Cadence/Rhythm of Business:Establish an operating rhythm of the business to ensure the organization is running effectively and efficiently to meet goals and objectives
* Business Process Improvement:Manage centralize repository of processes and improve processes to minimize complexities and optimize to promote effective operations
Drive proactive reporting and analysis and produce actionable business insights to facilitate effective decision-making and ensure the continued success of the business.
Provide insights to Domain and regional leaders to help them with data-based planning and segmentation decisions.
Explore and Drive automation for KPI scorecards / dashboards in Business intelligence tools like SAP, Tableau.
Actively work with cross functional teams such as BUs, Global Operations, service delivery, Enterprise data analytics team.
Be a trusted business partner and represent (or be a proxy for) C&M Leaders on various task forces, projects and meetings, if required.
Manage/present business performance/KPI results in periodic business review meetings to key internal stakeholders and drive implementation of best practices
Key Requirements:
12+ years proven experience in Enterprise technical support business. Of which at least 3 to 4 years should be in Reporting, Business Analytics and project/program management
* An ability and desire to work in a 24x7, 365 days/year global, fast-paced, and dynamic work environment that requires constant prioritization of work
* Flexible with 24x7 shifts (including working in Americas hours from Bangalore-India)
Strong understanding of SFDC CRM, experience in various Business intelligence tools such as Tableau, SAP BI etc.
Experience with the statistical modelling, financial modelling/analysis and metrics/dashboard development.
Advance level of working knowledge on MS Excel and MS Presentation (ability to create executive update, MBR, QBR decks, etc).
* Six Sigma, ITIL, SCRUM, Master, Lean, PMI or Prince experience/knowledge/certification will be an added advantage (Not mandatory)
Excellent and proven ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects with competing priorities.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate through a high-paced, fast-changing and sometimes unpredictable work environment.
Strong communication, executive presence, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to engage and influence individuals at all levels.
Be a trusted business partner and represent (or be a proxy for) Leaders on various task forces, projects and meetings if required.
