VMware IT Finance Group

VMwares IT-Finance group supports VMware Finance function with platforms and systems capabilities. We are transforming our software delivery practices to bring in greater agility. We also use mobile and IoT technologies to deliver new digital experiences for employees, customers and partners.

You will team up with a geographically distributed team of Engineers, Product Managers, QE and DevOps staff in Bangalore, Palo Alto and Cork. You will bring your technical experience / expertise in Oracle EBS application development and drive the adoption of standard methodologies as we build a scalable platform for Finance requirements.

Job Description

Sr Application Developer would be responsible to deliver IT projects which enables business to effectively manage VMwares SaaS and License product portfolios. Delivery of the projects would mean engaging with business analysts for requirement discussions, scoping, resource management, technical solutioning, working with various teams in the line of delivery including release teams, QA, change management etc. Owning end to end responsibility of delivery from development to production deployment and support.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with business analysts, BTA counterparts and be part of all requirement discussions

- Align to Agile delivery & Shift left in the process of SDLC. Deliver projects in continuous integration and continuous delivery model

- Experience in Oracle EBS finance modules (AR, GL, PO and OM).

- Translate business requirements to scalable, efficient technical solution and work individually or as a team to deliver

- Adopt test driven methodology and automated unit testing to ensure quality deliverables to test environments

- Work with various cross domain technical teams to understand the overall architectural blue print and align solutions to meet established standards

- Drive technical solutions and coordinate with the cross-domain teams as and when required.

- Documenting the solutions

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 yrs experience
• 3-4 yrs experience as an Oracle technical developer. Exposure to Finance modules recommended
• Strong database skills including SQL/ PLSQL, Performance tuning
• Hands on with unit test automation tools, version control tools
• Experience in Sprint model of SDLC
• Good communication skills
• Exposure to full stack development technologies.
• Capable to learn and adopt new technical skills as per project requirements.

Education
Bachelors / Masters in information technology or equivalent.
