Position description:

As a Product Owner you will assist in identifying market and customer needs and collaborate with leadership to define product vision and strategy. You will collaborate with Dev teams to define a product roadmap and release plans that support revenue and growth. You will also work with customers that will require capabilities for executing all phases of product development, from ideation through release. Knowledge of the Data science and data engineering services is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Organize product backlog, participate in product/project management process, propose product feature sequencing, and engage heavily with management, engineers, QA, designers, and others in the creatio
  • Identify cross functional dependencies and work with other teams to sequence development work.
  • Assist with product backlog grooming and management
  • To work directly with the product manager and development team and manage day-to-day activities, escalations, etc.
  • Write user stories and epics and ensure the product backlog is visible, transparent, and clear
  • Communicate with the development team and business throughout the sprint to provide requirement clarification
  • Experience with requirement gathering tools like JIRA/TFS/Rally
  • Create wire frames, interview users, create process flow maps, and develop personas
  • Relevant bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience
  • Typically requires three to five years of experience in a combination of technology product management, or software development, and business line industry knowledge.
  • Knowledge of applicable software development life cycle methodologies and frameworks (e.g. SCRUM, SAFe, etc.).

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Exposure to latest cloud ETL tools such as Glue/ADF/Dataflow is a plus
  • Expertise in data structures, distributed computing, manipulating and analyzing complex high-volume data from variety of internal and external sources
  • Experience in building structured and unstructured data pipelines
  • Proficient in programming language such as Python/Scala
  • Good understanding of data analysis techniques
  • Solid hands-on working knowledge of SQL and scripting
  • Good understanding of in relational/dimensional modelling and ETL concepts
  • Understanding of any reporting tools such as Tableau, Qlikview or PowerBI
