Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineering Lead, you will oversee multiple engineering teams and guide the design and development of cutting-edge software architectures for Verizon s Machine-to-Machine Management Center platform. Your work will directly enhance customer experiences, keeping Verizon ahead in a competitive market. This role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering teams in developing complex, scalable platforms.
• Mentor teams to ensure timely delivery of architecturally sound products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define strategy and oversee implementation.
• Document and maintain architecture standards for performance and scalability.
• Partner with external teams to define release content and integrate platform growth strategies.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
• Remove productivity barriers and solve critical problems for your teams.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of experience in software development, design, and architecture.
• Proficiency in Java development and experience with test data management.

Preferred

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Expertise in Java Spring, AWS, Kubernetes, and scalable web applications.
• Knowledge of database programming (Oracle, Cassandra, DB2).
• Experience in Machine Learning and Generative AI development.
• Proficiency in performance tuning, scalability, and availability.
• Familiarity with both waterfall and agile project management methodologies.
• Proven leadership in guiding software development teams and managing high-pressure customer requests.
