What you'll be doing...
The Security engineer position will support development teams in onboarding their applications to Guardium and monitoring. The engineer should have experience in Reactjs.

Reviewing and enhance logging information flow strategies and technical information flow required for log onboarding; create the work plan required for logging onboarding to include determining the technical details

Working with various teams regarding incoming and outgoing interfaces with Guardium.

Providing input and feedback on methods, techniques and processes in team activities for obtaining results. Provide assistance, collaboration, and guidance to others in the group. Work under minimal supervision, with general guidance from management. Analyze events and alerts, and properly classify as incidents or false-positives.

Deploying, support and maintain most Guardium components including appliances, STAPs, GIMs, etc.

Monitoring and maintaining the Guardium agents from Guardium UI with basic knowledge of cli commands.

Developing and ensure Database Activity Monitoring policies/rules are setup in accordance with Verizon CPI-810, NIST, and similar Frameworks.

Addressing outliers and incidents and research with various teams on validity, evidence, logging, vulnerabilities, incidents, etc.

Managing Administrative tasks to include reporting, update dashboards and interact with other teams to accomplish team goals. Update all inventories, data flow diagrams, runbooks
What we re looking for...
You'll need to have:

Bachelor's degree or two or more years of work experience.
-
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
-
Experience in Security Operations including the handling, identification, analysis and resolution of various security-related matters with limited guidance.

Experience in Database Logging and Monitoring tools
-
Experience in Linux coding.
-
Experience in Java,Angular ,React,MySQL
-
Designing and implement Java applications that fulfill employer requirements
-
Creating well-written code that runs efficiently and optimally
-
Examining existing code and recommend patches, design overhauls or fixes for broken code
-
Knowledge of Java build tools
-
Experience with Java EE components
-
Working with the app teams to onboard security logs into splunk.

Experience with Java Web frameworks
-
Experience using Java testing tools for finished code
-
Knowledge of the use of Java application containers
-
Ability to communicate effectively with management or clients
-
Ability to analyze the code while it is under construction.

Excellent problem-solving skills
