Job Summary

Experience & Qualification:
  • 1-3 years of experience in editing and proofreading
  • B.A. / M. A in English / Journalism / Mass Communication or a related field
Job Responsibilities:
  • Understand the scope of, and quality check full-scale business reports
  • Ensure that each document is grammatically correct, logical, well-structured, and coherent
  • Prepare, rewrite and edit content to improve readability while adhering to in-house style guidelines
  • Check the texts references, journal abbreviations, and style reference list. Raise queries to the author regarding these and incorporate changes accordingly.
  • Make comprehensive changes to reflect consistency across the description
  • Review and approve reports/articles/content
Skills & Abilities:
  • Good vocabulary and grammar to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
  • Excellent editorial skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular MS Word
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven experience in team and time management
  • Ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities
  • Ability to follow strict deadlines
  • Reading comprehension - Understanding written content in work related documents
  • Attention to detail - Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
