Senior R&D Manager
Role Description
- As part of Synopsys Central Engineering leadership team, you will be leading a world class team of software engineers and architects on a mission to build the state-of-art DevOps tools and enable our product development teams to build faster, secure and smarter products.
Responsibilities
- Technically lead and nurture multiple teams of world class engineers,
- Own and drive development & deployment of high-quality DevOps tooling,
- Define product roadmap and execution strategy while collaborating with the global product management and engineering stakeholders,
- Establish quality metrics and improvise testing methodologies,
- Introduce and deploy effective execution processes including agile best practices,
- Identify, assess and prioritize customer needs to deliver innovative solutions,
- Effectively collaborate with matrix management stakeholders to drive win-win strategy,
- Nurture and grow high-performance teams with positive, can-do mindset.
Key Qualifications
- 15+ years of hands on software development experience building customer facing software products, preferably for DevOps workflow tooling.
- Experience in architecting, implementing, validating, deploying and maintaining end-end tools & platforms for software & hardware regressions in large and complex environment,
- Expertise in improvising the tooling to continually enhance performance and efficiency with new ideas and latest technology,
- Must have at least 6+ years of hands-on technical leadership and managerial experience to guide engineering teams building software products, tools and web applications.
- Expertise in Python/Perl and C/C++ with good design and debugging skills.
- In-depth technical understanding of the intersection of development and operations (DevOps), monitoring, reporting and deployment tools and processes,
- In-depth understanding of the distributed processing techniques, hardware farms and Cloud technologies to efficiently use hardware resources.
- Good understanding of ML/AI and Cloud technologies,
- Proven ability to influence, collaborate and develop strong cross-functional alliances,
- BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering
