Analog Design Engr, Staff Job in Synopsys

Analyzes equipment to establish operating data. Conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on a nalysis of specifications and reliability. Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Determines design appro aches and parameters.

Has familiarity with UNIX operating systems. Familiarity with one or mor e IC design CAD packages required. Organizational skills essential. Typically requires a minimum of 8+ years of related experience. At this level, post-graduate coursework or knowledge base equivalent may be des irable. Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to independently resolve complex issues in creative a nd effective ways. Understands customer wants and needs. Customarily e xercises a high level of independent judgment and interpretation in sele cting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results. Fre quently performs in project leadership role. Drives programs and busine ss initiatives. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments an d projects. Offers new solutions or direction and is able to encourage and motivate others to support new solution or direction. May advise se nior management on specialized technical or business issues. May coordi nate activities of other personnel as a team lead. Represents the organ ization as the principle contact on business unit and/or company-wide pr ojects. Interacts with management and senior external personnel on matt ers requiring coordination across internal groups. Networks with key co ntacts outside own area of expertise.
