Job Summary Job-Title: Director Finance:

Collaborative Leader
Develop a rapport cross-functionally with Engineering team, HR, Sales, Operations, IT and Legal, and openly discuss processes or issues and problem solve.

Control Environment and Governance
Lead the accounting operations to operate within a solid control environment, and ensure processes are owned, documented and followed
Develop and drive necessary financial policies, standard operating procedures, and internal controls.
Implement appropriate governance processes that assure compliance with US regulatory (e.g. SOX) and US and local management mandates.

Scalable Systems and Processes
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that all financial systems are properly leveraged, integrated and upgraded to capture and produce timely and accurate information and support organizational growth and change;
Play a leadership role in designing processes in the early development stage and drive fast adoption of new processes.
Constantly drive improvements through automation, and embrace management of processes by metrics.
Reporting
Ensure timely and accurate internal and external financial reporting;
Plan, control and direct corporate accounting activities ensuring compliance with US GAAP, local statutory guidelines and internal financial policies and procedures
Interface with the Company s outside accounting firms/consultants.

Team Building
Recruit, mentor and develop a strong, performance-oriented Accounting organization, capable of actively and effectively engaging and growing with the business.
Experience / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting, and operational leadership experience, with previous jobs held in Controllership and Operations, mid-sized to large companies.
Experience in higher-growth environments is a plus - building and scaling infrastructure, and operating in a hands-on way. Ability to pivot between making executive decisions and rolling up sleeves to understand, design and implement processes is key.

Other Requirements Of The Role Include
Track record of leadership in complex, large-scale, cross-border businesses (US/Asia)
Strong foundational knowledge of US GAAP, as well as accounting operations and systems
Business partner and solutions orientation; pro-active approach to engaging cross-functionally
Strong influencing capabilities and the ability to command credibility with a senior leadership team
Player-coach operating style, with the ability to dive into details as necessary
Proven track record of building, mentoring and developing high-performing teams
Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen, as well as sound judgment
Education and experience
CA with post qualification experience of 15+ years
